7 χρόνια ύπαρξης για μια κατάληψη στο κέντρο μιας μεγαλούπολης όπως η Αθήνα, είναι θέμα. Χιλιάδες άνθρωποι έχουν περάσει από τη Νοταρά 26. Κάποιοι έχουν μείνει για μερικές εβδομάδες ή μήνες. Άλλοι έχουν ζήσει εδώ για χρόνια. Ο χώρος της ζωής και του αγώνα μας, γεννήθηκε από μια ζωτική ανάγκη να ανοίξουμε τις πόρτες της πόλης στους αποκλεισμένους, σε όσους διώκονται στις χώρες τους, αλλά και μέσα σε μια Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση που οχυρώνεται εδώ και χρόνια, ξοδεύοντας αστρονομικά ποσά για να κυνηγήσει, να φυλακίσει, να βιάσει και να απελάσει τους εξόριστους.
Η κρατική βία κατά των εξόριστων και κατά όλων όσων αρνούνται αυτή τη θανατηφόρα κοινωνία αυξάνεται και επιταχύνεται. Και αυτή η βία γίνεται όλο και πιο ύπουλη. Ένας αλληλέγγυος δικηγόρος, μας ενημερώνει ότι από εδώ και στο εξής, για να κάνεις αίτηση ασύλου στην Ελλάδα, "πρέπει να είσαι καταγεγραμμένος στο στρατόπεδο της Μαλακάσας ή στη Θεσσαλονίκη". Η κύρια συνέντευξη λαμβάνει χώρα μέσα στις επόμενες ώρες. Έτσι, τις περισσότερες φορές δεν υπάρχει δυνατότητα προετοιμασίας με δικηγόρο καθώς χρειάζονται εβδομάδες ή και μήνες για να φτιάξεις μια ισχυρή υπόθεση. Στη συνέχεια, μετά από λίγες ώρες, η αίτηση ασύλου απορρίπτεται συστηματικά. Μέσα σε 7 ημέρες πρέπει κάποιος/κάποια να έχει φύγει από την Ελλάδα και μετά από 10 ημέρες μπορεί να ασκηθεί έφεση κατά της απόφασης. Η ιεράρχηση, η ταξινόμηση "υπηκόων" και "μη υπηκόων", ο καθορισμός του ποιος "αξίζει" να ζει και ποιος όχι, ήταν πάντα στην ουσία του έθνους-κράτους.
Μετά τις εκκενώσεις δεκάδων καταλήψεων σε όλη την Ελλάδα, τις συστηματικές αστυνομικές παρενοχλήσεις, τα βασανιστήρια, τις κρατικές δολοφονίες και τις φασιστικές επιθέσεις που συχνά διαπράττονται μακριά από τα μάτια μας, από τον Έβρο μέχρι το Αιγαίο, τα κινήματα αλληλεγγύης μας έχουν υποφέρει τα τελευταία χρόνια. Ταλαιπωρημένα από την αβεβαιότητα ή και ακόμα από την φτώχεια, εξαντλημένα από τις δοκιμασίες των συντρόφων μας, σημαδεμένα σωματικά και ψυχολογικά από τη βία των ένθερμων μπράβων της άρχουσας τάξης και του κράτους, είναι αλήθεια ότι μερικές φορές ο πολιτικός και ριζοσπαστικός αναβρασμός του 2015 μοιάζει μακρινός.
Ωστόσο, η αλληλεγγύη εξακολουθεί να υπάρχει. Σήμερα, ακόμα περισσότερο απ' ότι το 2015, γνωρίζουμε ότι το σύστημα στο οποίο επιβιώνουμε μας οδηγεί συλλογικά στην καταστροφή μας. "Επειδή κάθε δραματική είδηση προμηνύει αυτό που αναπόφευκτα πλησιάζει, είναι καιρός, περισσότερο από ποτέ, να αλλάξουμε τη ζωή και την κοινωνία στο σύνολό της. Για να το πετύχουμε αυτό, χρειαζόμαστε τους πάντες. Χρειάζεται να ενθαρρύνουμε ο ένας τον άλλον, να βοηθάμε ο ένας τον άλλον, να αγαπάμε ο ένας τον άλλον, να φροντίζουμε ο ένας τον άλλον στις αντιξοότητες που χτυπούν εδώ και εκεί, σαν αστραπές και χαλάζι, σαν φλόγες και ξηρασία, σαν πείνα και απελπισία", έγραψε πρόσφατα ενας σύντροφος του αγώνα μας.
Η 7η επέτειός μας συμπίπτει με τους αγώνες για μια αξιοπρεπή ζωή στα Εξάρχεια και σε όλη την Αθήνα. Εδώ και χρόνια βλέπουμε τη γειτονιά μας να εξευγενίζεται με ιλιγγιώδη ταχύτητα. Τα συμφέροντα Ελλήνων και ξένων καπιταλιστών ροκανίζουν καθημερινά τους χώρους διαβίωσης και την αλληλεγγύη μας. Αγωνιζόμαστε από τον Ελαιώνα μέχρι το Δρακόπουλο, από το Πεδίον του Άρεως μέχρι το λόφο του Στρέφη, από την κατάληψη των προσφυγικών στην Αλεξάνδρας μέχρι την πλατεία των Εξαρχείων, το πάρκο της Ακαδημίας Πλάτωνος ή το πάρκο Κύπρου και Πατησίων. Όπου κι αν προσπαθήσουν να επιβάλλουν τη ρατσιστική και αστική τους κοινωνία ο Μπακογιάννης, ο Μητσοτάκης και οι φίλοι τους-καπιταλιστές, θα μας βρουν στο δρόμο τους!
Η Notara 26 θα συμμετάσχει στην ημέρα δράσης στις 24 Σεπτεμβρίου ενάντια στην ιδιωτικοποίηση και "μουσειοποίηση" της Εξαρχείων. Ξεκινώντας στη 3μμ, θα συναντηθούμε στην κατάληψη μας όπου θα μαγειρέψουμε και θα φάμε μαζί με μουσική - χάρη στους συντρόφους μας από την συλλογική κουζίνα Mano Aperta, την Μαύρη Ομίχλη και την Αγία Φανφάρα. Στη συνέχεια καλούμε στη διαδήλωση που θα ξεκινήσει στις 6μμ μπροστά από το αρχαιολογικό μουσείο.
Ας είμαστε δημιουργικοί, αθόρυβοι, επιθετικοί και αλληλέγγυοι. Η αλληλοβοήθεια γκρεμίζει τα τείχη και τις φυλακές τους.
LES 7 ANS DE NOTRE SQUAT
La dignité ne se demande pas, elle s'arrache
7 années d'existence pour un squat dans le centre-ville d'une métropole comme Athènes, ce n'est pas rien. Des milliers de personnes sont passées par Notara 26. Certaines sont restées quelques semaines ou quelques mois. D'autres sont là depuis des années. Notre espace de vie et de lutte est né d'un besoin vital d'ouvrir les portes de la ville aux exclu.es, à celles et ceux persécuté.es dans leur pays, mais aussi au sein d'une Union Européenne qui se barricade depuis des années, en dépensant des sommes astronomiques pour pourchasser, enfermer, violenter et expulser les exilé.es.
Les violences d'Etat contre les exilé.es et contre tous.tes celles et ceux qui refusent cette société mortifère se renforcent et s'accélèrent. Et elles sont toujours plus sournoises. Une avocate solidaire nous informe que, désormais, pour faire sa demande d'asile en Grèce, « il faut être enregistré dans le camp de Malakassa ou celui de Thessalonique. Après seulement quelques heures, vous avez votre entretien principal. Dans la grande majorité des cas, il n'y a donc aucune possibilité de se préparer avec un avocat ‒ cela demande des semaines voire des mois pour constituer un dossier solide. Ensuite, après quelques heures, vous avez systématiquement un refus de votre demande d'asile. Vous avez 7 jours pour quitter la Grèce et 10 jours pour faire appel de la décision ». Hiérarchiser, classer « nationaux » et « non-nationaux », déterminer qui « mérite » de vivre et qui ne le « mérite » pas, cela a toujours été dans l'essence de l'État-Nation.
Entre les expulsions de dizaines de squats dans toute la Grèce, le harcèlement policier désormais systématique, les cas de torture, les meurtres d'État et les actes fascistes souvent commis loin des regards d'Evros à la mer Egée, notre camp solidaire a énormément souffert ces dernières années.
Rongés par la précarité voire par la misère, épuisés par les procès de nos camarades, marqués physiquement et psychologiquement par la violence des valets zélés de la classe dirigeante et de l'État, il est vrai que l'effervescence politique et radicale de 2015 nous semble parfois bien loin.
Pourtant, la solidarité est toujours là. Aujourd'hui, encore plus qu'en 2015, nous savons que le système dans lequel nous survivons nous mène collectivement à notre perte. « Parce que chaque nouvelle dramatique augure de ce qui se rapproche inéluctablement, il est temps, plus que jamais, de changer la vie et la société tout entière. Pour y parvenir, nous avons besoin de toutes et tous. Nous avons besoin de nous encourager, de nous entraider, de nous aimer, de veiller les uns sur les autres dans l'adversité qui frappe ici et là, comme la foudre et la grêle, comme les flammes et la sécheresse, comme la faim et le désespoir », a écrit récemment une compagnon de luttes.
Notre 7e anniversaire coïncide avec les luttes brûlantes pour vivre dignement à Exarcheia et un peu partout à Athènes. Depuis des années, nous voyons notre quartier s'embourgeoiser à une vitesse vertigineuse. Les intérêts des capitalistes grecs et étrangers grignotent tous les jours un peu plus nos espaces de vie et de solidarité. Nous luttons d'Elaionas à Drakopoulos, de Pedion tou Areos à Strefi du squat de Prosfiyika à Alexandras, de la place d'Exarcheia jusqu'au parc d'Akadimia Platonos. Partout où Bakoyannis, Mitsotakis et leurs amis-rapaces-capitalistes tentent d'imposer leur société raciste et bourgeoise, ils nous trouveront sur leur chemin !
Notara 26 se joindra à la journée d'actions du samedi 24 septembre contre la privatisation et la muséification d'Exarcheia. À partir de 15h, rendez-vous à notre squat où nous cuisinerons et mangerons ensemble et en musique avec nos camarades de Mano Aperta, Mavri Omichli et Agia Fanfara. Nous appelons ensuite à rejoindre la manifestation qui débutera à 18h devant le musée archéologique.

7 YEARS OF OUR SQUAT
Dignity cannot be asked for, it must be taken away
7 years of existence for a squat in the city center of a metropolis like Athens, that's matter. Thousands of people have passed through Notara 26. Some have stayed for a few weeks or months. Others have been living here for years. Our space of life and struggle was born from a vital need to open the doors of the city to the excluded, to those persecuted in their own countries, but also within a European Union that has been barricading itself for years, spending astronomical sums of money to hunt down, imprisoned, violate and expel the exiles.
The state violence against the exiles and against all those who refuse this deadly society is increasing and accelerating. And this violence is becoming ever more insidious. A solidarity lawyer informs us that, from now on, in order to apply for asylum in Greece, "you have to be registered in the camp of Malakassa or in Thessaloniki. After only a few hours, you have your main interview. So most of the time there is no possibility to prepare with a lawyer - it takes weeks or months in order to make a solid case. Then, after a few hours, your asylum application is systematically refused. You have 7 days to leave Greece and 10 days to appeal the decision. Prioritizing, classifying "nationals" and "non-nationals", determining who "deserves" to live and who does not, has always been in the essence of the nation-state.
After the evictions of dozens of squats all over Greece, the systematic police harassment, the cases of torture, the state murders and the fascist attacks often committed far from sight from Evros to the Aegean Sea, our solidarity movements have suffered in the last years. Gnawed by precariousness and even misery, exhausted by the trials of our comrades, marked physically and psychologically by the violence of the zealous henchmen of the ruling class and the state, it is true that sometimes the political and radical effervescence of 2015 seems far away.
Yet solidarity is still there. Today, even more than in 2015, we know that the system we survive in is collectively leading us to our doom. "Because each dramatic news bodes of what is ineluctably approaching, it is time, more than ever, to change life and society as a whole. To achieve this, we need everyone. We need to encourage each other, to help each other, to love each other, to look after each other in the adversity that strikes here and there, like lightning and hail, like flames and drought, like hunger and despair", wrote recently one of our comrade.
Our 7th anniversary coincides with the struggles to live with dignity in Exarcheia and all over Athens. For years, we have seen our neighborhood being gentrified at a dizzying speed. The interests of Greek and foreign capitalists are nibbling away at our living spaces and solidarity every day. We fight from Elaionas to Drakopoulos, from Pedion tou Areos to Strefi, from the squat of Prosfiyika in Alexandras to the square of Exarcheia or in the park of Akadimia Platonos. Wherever Bakoyannis, Mitsotakis and their friends-capitalists try to impose their racist and bourgeois society, they will find us on their way!
Notara 26 will join the day of action on September 24 against the privatization and museumization of Exarcheia. Starting at 3pm, we'll meet at our squat where we'll cook and eat together with music - thanks to our comrades from Mano Aperta, Mavri Omichli and Agia Fanfara. Afterwards we call to join the demonstration that will start at 6pm in front of the archaeological museum.
