Iran's protest . video and music . free Toomaj

Toomaj Salehi is a 32 year-old rapper and a human rights defender. He was arrested for participating in nationwide protests in Iran. He was abducted by Islamic regime forces for standing with the people of Iran, and for his anti-regime rap lyrics. He has been in solitary confinement since 30 Oct.2022.

He has suffered severe torture at the hands of Islamic Regime agents throughout all these days and he is at risk of execution. His court date is not set yet.

His injuries by torture have never been treated. It's not only his injured eye but also his hands, his rips and his broken leg. These could lead to permanent damage, such as losing his sight from one eye.

Another artist and rapper has been violently arrested at his home in Tehran on the 2nd of October during the nationwide protests. The young Kurdish singer Saman Seydi (Yasin) received a death sentence after posting his support for anti-regime protesters on social media, which verdict was revoked a few days later by the supreme court and delivered his case to another court branch for a retrial. Since his arrest, the prison officials have refused to provide Seydi with adequate medical care, and there's no announcement about the date of his court, yet.

More than 15.000 people, including children, have been detained since the start of uprising. Trials held in courtrooms last few minutes with no prior investigations. Oftentimes the right of a defendant to defend himself/herself choosing his/her lawers is being taken away. In November 2022, 227 Iranian lawmakers urged the judiciary to "deal decisively" with protestors proving that the law system of Iran is politically adjacent to the theocratic Iranian republic. In addition to this, two public executions have been held since the start of violent crackdowns in September 2022, to spread fear and suppress revolt. Horrific gender-based violence is part of the regime's practice since reports with female protestors having wounds on their genitals, thighs and faces more often than males. These horrendous acts showcase just how much the Iranian leadership actually fears its own people.

We stand in solidarity with Iranian protesters.

Freedom of expression is a basic human right. Free Toomaj and Yasin!
