FREE KINO -Stars of Orion (2012) + The Anabasis of May and Fusako Shigenobu(2011
🔻📽️🎞️ 🇵🇸🇯🇵: The Free Kino begins week four with "Revolutionary Solidarity: Palestine and Japan," focused on the historic alliances between Palestinian and Japanese revolutionary organizations - namely the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the Japanese Red Army.
The first film is Stars of Orion: Japanese Martyrs for Palestine, a 2012 exclusive documentary from Al Jazeera Arabic. We extend our gratitude to @atlajala on Twitter for producing subtitles for this feature no longer accessible with English translation.
Following this will be The Anabasis of May and Fusako Shigenobu, Masao Adachi and the 27 Years Without Images from Eric Baudelaire, an experimental montage documentary featuring extensive interviews with Masao Adachi, co-director of Red Army/PFLP: Declaration of World War (1971) and Mei Shigenobu, Japanese journalist and daughter of Fusako Shigenobu - revolutionary operative and founder of the Japanese Red Army.
The films will be in Arabic, Japanese and English with English subtitles
