Screening: Iranian Militant-Flimmaker of the Sacred Defense: Martyr Morteza Avini
Join us on 28/5 at Second Floor Space (Valtetsiou 50-52) for a special screening of two episodes of Iranian martyr and militant-filmmaker Morteza Avini's anti-imperialist epic documentary series Ravayat-e-Fath (Chronicles of Victory). Morteza Avini would brave the frontlines with his TV unit, cameras in hand as their weapons, covering the defensive campaign waged by Iran against the invasion of Saddam Hussein in 1980. A special guest speaker will join us to explain more on his life and work.
All proceeds from the bazaar will be given to Gather for Gaza as financial for social kitchens in Deir Al-Balah in Gaza. We express deep gratitude to Second Floor Space for permitting use of their venue and Tele Tehran for making these films accessible.
