[GR] Ρεμπέτικο Γλέντι στα Προσφυγικά

Το ρεμπέτικο γεννήθηκε μέσα από την προσφυγιά και το περιθώριο. Στα γεννοφάσκια του, το μπουζούκι διώχτηκε από την δικτατορία του Μεταξά ως όργανο που απειλεί την κυρίαρχη αφήγηση. Στην απάνθρωπη Ελλάδα της ανάπτυξης και των επενδύσεων, η κοινότητα των Προσφυγικών αποτελεί απειλή για την κυρίαρχη αφήγηση, προτείνοντας έμπρακτα μια άλλη ζωή. Μια ζωή που αυτοοργανώνεται, λειτουργεί ομαλά και αποτελεί σημείο αναφοράς και σανίδα αλληλεγγύης μέσα στο χάος του μονοσήμαντου κόσμου του ύστερου καπιταλισμού.

Η δικτατορία ζητούσε μια αποστειρωμένη, ελεγχόμενη μουσική, εχθρική προς τον προσφυγικό πόνο. Με τον ίδιο τρόπο, η σύγχρονη «ανάπτυξη» απαιτεί μια αποστειρωμένη πόλη-βιτρίνα, όπου η συλλογική μνήμη και οι ζωντανές κοινότητες θυσιάζονται στον βωμό των επενδύσεων. Με ένα μπουζούκι λοιπόν, μαζευόμαστε, συναντιόμαστε, τραγουδάμε χαρές και λύπες, φωνάζουμε δυνατά: ή θα νικήσουμε ή θα νικήσουμε

[ENG] Rebetiko Party at Prosfygika

Rembetiko was born out of refugee life and marginalization. In its early days, the bouzouki was banned by the Metaxas dictatorship as an instrument that threatened the dominant narrative. In the inhumane Greece of development and investment, the community of Prosfygika poses a threat to the dominant narrative by actively proposing an alternative way of life. A life that is self-organized, functions smoothly, and serves as a point of reference and a lifeline of solidarity amid the chaos of the one-dimensional world of late capitalism.

The dictatorship demanded sterile, controlled music, hostile to the suffering of refugees. In the same way, modern "development" demands a sterile showcase city, where collective memory and vibrant communities are sacrificed on the altar of investment. So, with a bouzouki, we gather, we come together, we sing of joys and sorrows, and we shout out loud: we will win, or we will win
