Δύο μέρες οικονομικής ενίσχυσης ΛΟΑΤΚΙ+ προσφύγων (vol.II)

Η πρωτοβουλία αλληλεγγύης "LGBTQI+ Refugees in Greece" είναι ένα σχετικά νέο αυτόργανωμένο, από τα κάτω, εγχείρημα που προσδοκά να δώσει χώρο, φωνή και στήριξη σε μια απο τις πιο καταπιεσμένες και αθέατες πλευρές του προσφυγικού: αυτή της lgbtqi+ κοινότητας.
Σε λιγότερο από 5 μήνες έχουμε στηρίξει και βοηθήσει παραπάνω από 25 lgbtqi+ στις εξής εκφρασμένες τ@ ανάγκες:
- Διανομή φαγητού για μαγείρεμα, είδη πρώτης ανάγκης, υγιεινής κλπ μια φορά τη βδομάδα από την κατάληψη στέγης Νοταρά 26.
- Γύρω στα 50 κιλά κρέατος για μια πιο ισσοροπημένη και πλήρη διατροφή καθώς αρκετά μέλη της ομάδας μας ακολουθούν βαριές ιατροφαρμακευτικές αγωγές.
- Πάνω από 10 σόμπες για τις κρύες νύχτες του χειμώνα.
- Διανομή ζεστών ρούχων, υποδημάτων, κουβερτών από τις καταλήψεις στέγης Νοταρά 26 και 5ο Σχολείο.
Στο διάστημα αυτών των 5 μηνών παρείχαμε νομική βοήθεια και διαμεσολαβήσαμε ώστε να βρουν ασφαλή στέγη μέλη της ομάδας μας που ήταν άστεγα.
Κατόπιν, μέσω των εκδηλώσεων μας, των συνελεύσεων μας αλλά και των συναντήσεων μας για βόλτα, ταινία ή ό,τι άλλο δημιουργήσαμε τις σχέσεις και τον ασφαλή χώρο που επέτρεψαν στ@ lgbtqi+ πρόσφυγες να εκφραστούν, να ενδυναμωθούν και φυσικά, να κοινωνικοποιηθούν (και) μέσω της ισότιμης συμμετοχής τους στις διαδικασίες, τις στοχεύσεις και τις επιθυμίες της ομάδας.
Αυτή τη στιγμή 15 άτομα από την ομάδα μας είναι στις χώρες επιλογής τους. Αυτός ο στόχος επετεύχθη και με την συμβολή της ομάδας καλύπτοντας τα έξοδα για εισιτήρια και διαβατήρια, καθώς και με την παροχή κάποιων χρημάτων για το ταξίδι, στο νέο τους αυτό ξεκίνημα.
Η ομάδα μας συνεχίζει ανοίγοντας την δραστηριότητα της τόσο στις καταλήψεις, όσο και στα Camps, επιθυμώντας να επεκτείνει τη δράση της και να εντοπίσει όσο το δυνατόν περισσότερ@ lgbtqi+ πρόσφυγες που 'χουν την ανάγκη να βρεθούν σ'ένα ασφαλές και φιλικό περιβάλλον.
Τέλος, θα θέλαμε να τονίσουμε ότι τίποτα απ' όλα τα παραπάνω δεν θα'χαν συμβεί χωρίς την έμπρακτη αλληλεγγύη, βοήθεια και στήριξη σας. Σας ευχαριστούμε γι'αυτό και σας προσκαλούμε σε άλλη μια σειρά εκδηλώσεων για την οικονομική στήριξη του σκοπού μας:

The "LGBTQI+ Refugees in Greece" group is a relatively new, self-organized, grassroots initiative, whose goal is to afford space and give voice and support to one of the most repressed and 'invisible' sides of the refugee 'crisis': That of the LGBTQI+ community.
In less than five months we have helped and supported more than 25 LGBTQI+ refugees deal with needs and demands like:
- Distribution of food and essentials once per week from the squat at Notara 26.
- Approximately 50 kilos of meat for a healthy diet since a significant number of the members of our group take heavy prescriptions.
- More than ten space heaters for the cold winter nights.
- Distribution of warm clothing, shoes, blankets from the squats at Notara 26 and 5th School.
In the course of these five months we have provided legal support and have helped those members of our group who were homeless to find a safe place to stay. Additionally through our events, assemblies and meetings for coffee, movies and other stuff, we managed to create relationships and spaces that gave the refugees the opportunity to socialize, open themselves up, and communicate through their equal participation in our procedures their goals and desires.
At this moment 15 members of our group have managed to travel to the countries of their choice. This was achieved through the eager contribution of our team so that the cost for tickets and the issuing of passports was covered. We also managed to provide them with a decent amount of money so that they are able to begin their life anew.
Our team aims to continue its action both in the squats and the Camps in an effort to locate as many LGBTQI+ refugees as possible and provide them with the safe and friendly environment they need.
In conclusion, we would like to highlight that none of the above would have been achieved without the aid of actual deeds of solidarity, help and support. We thank you for that and we invite you to yet another series of events that we organize for the financial support of our project:
